10 August 2022. As well as looking to maximise the use of local supply chain businesses and contractors during construction, we want to ensure that Greenlink benefits the local communities in which it is located.
In Ireland we have worked closely with Wexford County Council and local community representatives to identify suitable initiatives to support.
We are pleased to say that a new car park at Baginbun Beach, funded by Greenlink, is now complete. Baginbun Beach is the landfall site in Ireland for the marine section of the Greenlink interconnector cables.
We will also be providing new streetlights and footpaths in the village of Ramsgrange, which is located along the cable route.
