Suppliers & Procurement

In September 2021 we announced that a consortium comprising Siemens Energy AG (Siemens Energy) and Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd (Sumitomo Electric) have been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the Greenlink electricity interconnector project.   This was following a procurement process that started in August 2018 with an invitation for expressions of interest to tender.  

 

Construction of the Greenlink electricity Interconector is scheduled to start in early 2022. Greenlink and its appointed contractors, Siemens Energy and Sumitomo Electric, are committed to offering local supply chain opportunities wherever possible. 

 

There may be a requirement for the following goods and services: 

 

  • Cleaners/Office Cleaning 

  • Receptionist/Office Manager 

  • Document Controller 

  • Canteen Staff/Catering/Sandwich Vans 

  • Milk Deliveries 

  • Bottled Water/Water Coolers 

  • Waste Recycling 

  • Site Security 

  • Time Lapse & Drone Photography 

  • Site Establishment Cabins 

  • Restaurants 

  • Supermarkets/Grocery Supplies 

  • Accommodation: Hotels/B&B/Caravans 

  • Taxi Services 

  • Gym Membership 

  • Hedgerow Clearance 

  • Weedkilling 

  • Road Sweeper 

  • Builders Merchants 

  • Fencing & Gates 

  • Road Surfacing 

  • Traffic management & Signage 

  • Plant & Equipment 

  • Tool Hire 

  • Scaffolding 

  • Lifting Equipment 

  • Land Drainage 

  • Minor Civil Works 

  • Local Labour 

  • Ecologists/Ecological Services 

In November we held ‘meet-the-buyer’ events in Pembrokeshire and Wexford.
These were an opportunity for local suppliers to: 

​

  • hear the latest news about the project, including the construction programme 

  • meet representatives from Siemens Energy and Sumitomo Electric to discuss what their business can offer 

  • find out how to bid for contracts.

If you were unable to attend the events in your area but feel that you can supply goods and/or services that may be of interest, please follow this link to the EPC Contractor's Supply Chain Registration form and submit your details directly to Siemens Energy.
